"I led my friend to Christ!"

Hey Nick!

I have some great news! Do you remember my friend Blake? You met him on Wednesday while we were tabling in the courtyard (he's the foreign exchange student from Jamaica). Well yesterday he got saved!

We were in the library and he asked me what Intervarsity was about because he always hears me Andy and Josh talk about it. So I told him it's a Christian group. He told me that when he was younger his family was Christian and he usually went to church, but as he grew older he grew further away. He said from then on he had started following up alot of science and became an atheist. He told me that he is willing to give Christianity a chance and wanted me to tell him about God and Jesus.

So I told him what being a Christian was all about and told him that God so loved the world he sent his only begotten son to save us. I then told him about miracles Jesus had performed. I told him how God can forgive people for the sins they have done. He told me he knew that somehow many of the scientific theories he had believed weren't true, and he started to believe what I was saying. I told him about this website called reasontobelieve.com which shows and explains to us why many scientific theories aren't true. He then said he wanted me to pray for him and he wanted to be saved then and there. I prayed for him and then I prayed the prayer to accept Jesus, which he repeated and prayed in his heart. When we were finished he said he did really feel he has been saved. After we were done he had many spiritual questions which I tried my best to answer. Whatever questions I didn't really know how to answer, I asked Andy to help me. So Andy came over and also helped him. Blake said he was glad to be saved and glad we helped him.

He is interested in joining InterVarsity and doing Bible study, but most of all he really wants to do the Investigative Bible Study so that he can understand the Bible better.

Please pray for me that I can have to courage and strength to keep helping him. Please pray for Blake that he can grow spiritually.
